Here are the most recent healthcare related regulatory developments as published in the New Jersey Register on September 6, 2011:

On September 6, 2011 at 43 N.J.R. 2213, the Department of Health and Senior Services published notice of its proposed amendments to its rules and the proposal of new rules which would extend health care associated infection reporting and prevention requirements to ambulatory surgery facilities.

On September 6, 2011 at 43 N.J.R. 2218, the Department of Human Services published a notice of proposal of new rules governing the licensure of residential substance use disorder treatment facilities.

On September 6, 2011 at 43 N.J.R. 2269, the Department of Banking and Insurance published notice of its proposal of new regulations governing captive insurance companies.  The new regulations will permit captive insurance companies to be formed in New Jersey and will also allow existing captive insurers formed elsewhere to be re-domesticated.

On September 6, 2011 at 43 N.J.R. 2278, the Orthotics and Prosthetics Board of Examiners published notice of its proposal of new rules governing the requirements for orthotists, prosthetists, orthotists-prosthetists; prosthetists assistants, orthotists assistants, or prothetists-orthotists assistants.

On September 6, 2011 at 43 N.J.R. 2337, the Department of Health and Senior Services published notice of its adoption of new rules governing violence prevention in health care facilities.

On September 6, 2011 at 43 N.J.R. 2341, the Department of Health and Senior Services published notice of its adoption of new rules governing safe patient handling.

On September 6, 2011 at 43 N.J.R. 2347, the Department of Banking and Insurance published notice of its readoption with amendments to its rules governing dental insurance.
