Here are the most recent healthcare related regulatory developments as published in the New Jersey Register on November 15, 2010:

On November 15, 2010 at 42 N.J.R. 2668, the Department of Health and Senior Services published notice of its proposal of new rules governing the medical marijuana program. 

On November 15, 2010 at 42 N.J.R. 2709, the Department of Banking and Insurance published notice of its proposal of amendments to its rules governing the small health benefits program.  The proposed amendments will revise the standard plans under the small employer health benefits program to incorporate changes required by state and federal law (including PPACA), as well as the addition of alternate delivery system language.

On November 15, 2010 at 42 N.J.R. 2728, the State Board of Medical Examiners published notice of its proposal of new rules which would implement requirements for physicians who wish to authorize the medical use of marijuana for their patients under the New Jersey Compassionate Use Medical Marijuana Act.  A companion regulatory proposal by the Board of Medical Examiners at 42 N.J.R. 2743 would implement the reporting requirements that will be imposed upon physicians and alternative treatment centers under the Compassionate Use Medical Marijuana Act. 

On November 15, 2010 at 42 N.J.R. 2806, the Department of Health and Senior Services published notice of its readoption of its rules governing the Birth Defects Registry.
